About the MLPIA

The Maine Licensed Private Investigators Association is Maine's premiere association of Investigators representing licensed, bonded, ethical and professional investigators throughout Maine and New England.

The MLPIA is actively involved in promoting ethical, professional conduct and business operation for the profession in the press, legislature and among peers in Maine and New England.

The MLPIA has a strict Code of Ethics to which members adhere to unlike those who seek personal gratification above professionalism.

The MLPIA continues to educate the public, attorneys and the legislature as to the true role of investigators in society through press releases, newsletters, mailings, educational seminars and training programs.

The MLPIA continues to develop professional relationships between the law enforcement community and the professional investigator.

The MLPIA is advertising the professional nature of its members through the Maine Bar Directory, local newspapers and targeted professional journals and mailings.

MLPIA members enjoy listings on the MLPIA.ORG Webpage in addition to access to listserv's that connect them with investigators throughout the U.S.

The MLPIA publishes a quarterly newsletter, The Maine P.I. View, in addition to authoring articles about the profession for distribution to local and national newspapers and trade journals.
